Current Outdoor Water Use Schedule - Level Two
August 2008
Butts County was moved from Level Four of Drought Declaration to Level Two effective May 12, 2008. We are very pleased that our customers can once again use some water outside because, in spite of the drought, we have always had an abundant supply of water here locally.
Under Level Two, outdoor water use may occur on scheduled days within the hours of 12:00 midnight to 10:00 a.m.
- Scheduled days for odd-numbered addresses are Tuesday, Thursdays, and Sundays.
- Scheduled days for even-numbered or unnumbered addresses and golf course fairways are Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The following uses are prohibited under Level Two:
- Using hydrants for any purpose other than firefighting, public health, safety or flushing.
- Washing hard surfaces, such as streets, gutters, sidewalks and driveways except when necessary for public health & safety.
The Authority is responsible for enforcing the State Outdoor Watering Schedule for our customers. Violators will be warned, but continual violations will result in fines and an eventual disconnection of water service. Call 770 775-0042 to report violators.
