August 11, 2015 – Work is progressing on a wide variety of projects this summer. Water main is being installed on Brownlee Road by the Authority’s crew. A new line is being engineered for Bertha M. White Road and will be installed as a part of the Brownlee project. Painters are working to complete the new elevated tank in west Butts . Generators funded by a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency are ready to be installed at the Burford water treatment plant and Highway 36 booster pump station. A pilot study of an enhanced water treatment system using lime and carbon-dioxide takes place this month. Finally, the field expansion project for the Bucksnort Ranch land application system is out for bid, with the bid opening on September 2.
