Update February 18, 2016 – The Boil Water Advisory has been lifted by Georgia EPD effective 4:45 p.m. The bacteria sample taken on February 17, 2016 was found to be negative. Residents may resume using their water as usual.
February 17, 2016 – The Butts County Water Authority’s main line on Marina Circle was struck by a contractor digging near the road this morning. The line has been repaired and water service is back on, but we need to do a bacteria test to confirm that water is bacteria free before customers on Marina Circle begin using it to drink or cook without boiling it first. This test takes twenty-four hours to complete. We will update this post on February 18, 2016 around 4 p.m. when the bacteria test results will become available.
