April 8, 2014 – All three of the water treatment facilities operated by the Authority have won the coveted Gold Award from the Georgia Association of Water Professions for complete compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act and Georgia operating permit requirements for 2013. At the Authority’s April board meeting, special recognition was given to Teresa Swan, who has worked as the operator at the Stewart Water Treatment Plant since 2008. This is the seventh straight year that the Stewart plant has won this award, giving it a “triple platinum” status. “Teresa is extremely dedicated and self motivated in her work as plant operator. She is always planning ahead for ways upgrade the plant and maximize water quality,” said Marcie Seleb, General Manager.
